The idea for this album has it's origins in two separate sources. The first one was Detroit - based Scott Boatright with his proposal to create the music for his recitals of several poems from the Carmina Burana, a collection of medieval poems in lush praise of the joys of wordly life, which has become popular with Carl Orff's adaption.
We started off with "Inwardly Boiling". Shortly afterwards I discovered the call to remix several tracks off Nina Kardec's album Nema in the Internet Archive. One of the requirements was to add one's voice to the remixes. I recorded my voice but didn't feel too happy with it. So I turned to two people with professionally trained voices, both with their own radio shows. The first was the aforementioned Scott Boatright, who had sent a couple more recitals. I was and still am deeply impressed how well his voice fits in with the industrial textures I had generated from the source-material. The second one was Glasgow - based Tony Morris with whom I had collaborated before. I sent him the same track into which I had incorporated Scott's recitals and he came up with an amazing rework, geniusly crafted by him.
I feel greatly honored those two gentlemen have not only agreed to work with me in this project, but Scott Boatright also suggested releasing it in his label.
Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart, Scott and Tony.
